    Good interview, though it would have been nice to connect many of those issues (e.g. income inequality and the regional popularity of Hugo Chávez).

    Thank you for the overview. I am working on a undergrad research project at Eastern Washington University relating to US foreign policy in LA. I have looked through the recent CFR articles and will be getting the 2008 policy book soon. Good luck with your blog and advocacy for a more sane policy. My limited study of history and philosophy has led me to a rather cynical view of power, but I know enough decent human beings to keep my faith in humanity.
